P.K. Subban Joins Sportsnet’s CHL Broadcasts As Guest Analyst

TORONTO (November 28, 2012)Sportsnet today announced that Montreal Canadiens defenceman P.K. Subban will be joining the network’s Canadian Hockey League broadcasts as a guest analyst.
Subban will make his analyst debut on Friday Night Hockey this Friday, Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT as the Windsor Spitfires take on the Kitchener Rangers on Sportsnet East, Ontario, West, and Pacific. The charismatic NHLer joins HOCKEY CENTRAL host Jeff Marek and analysts Nick Kypreos and Damien Cox to set up the game and provide intermission analysis from the Sportsnet studio, while play-by-play man RJ Broadhead and analyst Sam Cosentino are joined by host Rob Faulds at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium.

Sportsnet continues to bolster its live hockey coverage in December with the addition of two Wednesday night CHL match-ups on Dec. 5 and 12. On Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT, Olivier Archambault and the Voltigeurs de Drummondville take on Xavier Ouellet and the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada in a Quebec Major Junior Hockey League showdown on Sportsnet East, Ontario, West, and Pacific. Subban makes his second appearance as a Sportsnet guest analyst that night, joining play-by-play man Broadhead and analyst Cosentino in the broadcast booth at the Centre d'Excellence Sports Rousseau in Boisbriand,QC. HOCKEY CENTRAL host Daren Millard will be joined by analysts Kypreos and Cox for pre-game and intermission analysis in the Sportsnet studio. 

On Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, the Kelowna Rockets, led by Colton Sissons, visit Ty Rimmer and the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Sportsnet East, Ontario, West, and Pacific.  The HOCKEY CENTRAL team of Marek, Kypreos and Cox will provide pre-game and intermission analysis while Broadhead and Cosentino return to the broadcast booth to provide play-by-play and analysis, respectively, and Roger Millions hosts from rinkside.

As Canada’s premiere destination for all things CHL, Sportsnet will broadcast more than 45 CHL games during the 2012-13 season, including a game every Friday night during the regular season and playoffs, the six game Subway Super Series, the 2013 Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game and the 2013 MasterCard Memorial Cup. In addition to CHL coverage, Sportsnet continues to be home to live hockey in December with can’t-miss American Hockey League broadcasts, featuring appearances by current and future NHL stars.
