SJHL POWER RANKINGS

Press Release

1-Flin Flon Bombers (16-4-0-0) ... 2nd last week
Riding an eleven game winning streak at home, the Bombers have won eight of ten overall.

2-Humboldt Broncos (13-5-1-0) ... 3rd last week
Even with key injuries to players like Lawrence and Ballas, the Broncos look like world beaters, entering this week winners of four straight (two of which have come against Yorkton Melville)

3-Notre Dame Hounds (12-6-0-2) ... 5th last week
Hounds have reeled off six wins in a row and are, not only, relevant in the Sherwood, but are now the top ranked team in the division.

4-Melville Millionaires (13-5-0-1) ... 1st last week
Contenders or pretenders?  Mils beat the teams they are supposed to beat, but are just 1-2-0-and-1 in their last four against Humboldt, Yorkton, and Flin Flon.
5-Yorkton Terriers (12-6-0-1) ...4th last week
Just 5-and-5 in their last ten, and losers of two straight.  Still have the three-goalie monster cloud overhead.

6-Nipawin Hawks (8-7-1-3) ...6th last week
Just one win on the road in nine games, but they are in a lot of close games.

7-Estevan Bruins (7-9-2-0)... 7th last week
Slowly coming around, as evidenced by a 5-4-and-1 stretch in their last ten.

8-Battlefords North Stars (8-10-0-0) ... 8th last week
Deceiving record as they are 0-and-5 against powerhouse clubs Humboldt, Melville, and Flin Flon.  8-and-5 against the rest of the league.

9-Kindersley Klippers (7-9-1-2) .... 9th last week
Just two wins in their last ten, but they are hanging in there and showed a lot of guts in the Weyburn game last Thursday.

10-Melfort Mustangs (7-11-0-1) ... 10th last week
What gives?  2-7-0-and-1 on home ice!
11-La Ronge Ice Wolves (6-10-0-3) ... 12th last week
Just one road win this season, but they are close to .500 in their last ten overall.

12-Weyburn Red Wings (5-14-0-0) ... 11th last week
Lost ground to both Estevan and Kindersley over the weekend and could be as many as seven points out of a playoff spot if Bruins win their game in hand.

WHO’S HOT

Joey Davies, Humboldt (4-7-5-12); Cody Pongracz, Humboldt (4-3-7-10); Neil Landry, Humboldt (4-2-7-9) ... the entire top line of the Broncos is tops in the league right now.

Brandon Millin, Notre Dame (6-2-9-11) ... the top performer on the league’s hottest team.

Sam Aulie, Notre Dame (6-3-6-9) ... hottest rookie on the league’s hottest team.

Wheaton King, Nipawin (6-5-4-9) ... finally held off the scoresheet the other night in Melfort.

Cameron Blair, Flin Flon (4-4-2-6) ... Bombers have abundance of offensive skill and they’ll take turns carrying the team throughout the season.

Nathan Boyer, La Ronge (4-5-3-8) ... just kept on rolling in absence of Dieno.

Ty Reichenbach, Notre Dame (5-0, 1.97, .928) ... Exhibit A as to why the Hounds are so hot.

Patrick Johnson, Melfort (0-2, 1.52, .946) ... just a bit of bad luck for Johnson.
