St. Louis 18U defenseman Brandt signs NAHL tender

Press Release

The St. Louis Selects of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) have announced that 18U defenseman Jared Brandt has signed an NAHL tender with the Minot Minotauros.

Brandt, 17, has played in all nine of St. Louis’s NAPHL games this season as the Selects have posted a 7-0-2 record so far this season.  They sit in 1st place in the NAPHL’s 18U White Division and are the only team at the 18U level who has yet to suffer a loss in regulation this season.

The native of St. Peters, Missouri, is in his third season in the NAPHL.  He played the previous two seasons for the St. Louis Selects 16U team.  Last season, Brandt (5’9/175) had 7 points (1 goal, 6 assists) in 18 games played for the 16U squad.  He was second on the team in goals during the NAPHL Championship Series last season with four goals.

St. Louis will be a part of the upcoming NAPHL/NA3HL Showcase beginning Friday, November 30th in Blaine, Minnesota.  The Selects open the event with one of their toughest tests to date as they face the Anaheim Jr. Ducks, who are right behind them in the standings with a 7-2-0 record.
