Trott Traded to Whitecourt

Press Release

The Salmon Arm SilverBacks have traded 20 year old Forward Jason Trott to the AJHL's Whitecourt Wolverines in exchange for future considerations.

Trott, a New Westminster native and former Portland Winterhawk, spent two years in the Western Hockey League, putting up eight points over 68 games before joining the SilverBacks early in the season.

The 6'1 winger added up four goals and eight points in his short BCHL career in Salmon Arm, 'Backs GM Troy Mick says the move to Whitecourt gives Jason an opportunity to join a contender for the Royal Bank Cup in his last year of Junior Hockey.

"As a 20 year old Jason was playing lots of minutes in all situations on a young squad here in Salmon Arm; the Wolverines are a good club and he should have no problem fitting into their system."

The organization would like to thank Jason for his time in Salmon Arm, and wish him all the best in Alberta with the Wolverines as they chase a league title.
