Iacobellis comes up large for 'Backs on road trip, earns Gongshow POW

 Salmon Arm SilverBacks forward Steven Iacobellis has been named the Gongshow BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending March 3, the league announced Monday.

Iacobellis helped the Gorillas to four of a possible six points on the road as they kept their playoff hopes alive. The Burnaby native opened up with a two-goal, two-assist effort that included the overtime winner in a 6-5 defeat of Powell River and wrapped up his week with another game-winning goal in a 5-4 win against Coquitlam where he had three points.

The 5-foot-9, 165-pound forward now has 39 points in 33 games since joining Salmon Arm and has set a new career high for points this season with 42.
