MJ WARRIORS: Snowbird Night, Saturday March 9

Press Release

On Saturday, March 9th the Moose Jaw Warriors will entertain the Canadian Forces Snowbirds for their second annual “Snowbird Night”.

“We are honoured to have this special partnership with the Snowbirds bringing together two very important Moose Jaw teams,” said Warriors General Manager Alan Millar.  “We are excited to showcase this great relationship Saturday evening with the inaugural Warriors/Snowbirds commemorative jersey.  We look forward to the jersey auction and raising funds for our new hospital on behalf of the Snowbirds and Warriors community partnership.”

In February Warrior veterans Sam Fioretti and Tanner Eberle spent a day with the Snowbirds at their home at 15 Wing Moose Jaw, it concluded with the duo flying with the team over southern Saskatchewan.

During the course of the day, the entire Warriors team received tours of the facility and had the chance to learn firsthand the pressures and expectations that come with being a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force 431 Air Demonstration Squadron.

“This was a once in a lifetime opportunity,” said Fioretti.  “Tanner and I enjoyed every minute we spent with the team.  There are a lot of people that work together to make the Snowbirds successful; they are the perfect example of teamwork.  Coming up on Saturday our team is honoured to be able to host their team and show them how we prepare.”
