CALGARY, AB. – The Western Hockey League announced today that Mackenzie Skapski, of the Kootenay Ice, has been named the VAUGHN WHL Goaltender of the Month for February.

The 18 year-old goaltender from Abbotsford, BC, posted a 9-2-0-0 record with four shut-outs through February.  Skapski’s brilliant 1.27 goals-against average led all WHL goaltenders (minimum 300 minutes played) while posting a 0.956 save percentage, allowing just 14 goals on 318 shots-against in 660 minutes played.  His efforts also earned him a Three Star selection seven times, with two being 1st Stars.

His accomplishments make Mackenzie Skapski a deserving choice as the VAUGHN WHL Goaltender of the Month for February.
