Tomahawks Announce Fan Appreciation Weekend

Press Release

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Johnstown Tomahawks are thrilled to announce the First Annual Fan Appreciation Weekend, scheduled for the team’s final two home games on Friday, March 8 and Saturday, March 9 at the War Memorial Arena. The weekend, designed as a special “thank you” to the fans for their support throughout the season, will feature giveaways, prizes, in-game activities, and a special team autograph session. The Tomahawks host the Jamestown Ironmen for a 7 p.m. puck drop both nights.

“We have such a passionate group of fans and sponsors who have made this a successful inaugural season,” said Director of Business Operations Jean Desrochers. “This promotion for the last two home games of the regular season is a way for our organization to show our gratitude to the people who believed in our product and supported our team.”

While the Tomahawks hope to return to home ice in April for a lengthy run in the 2013 NAHL Robertson Cup Playoffs, the team will close out the regular season at the War Memorial with several promotions. Friday, March 8 will feature $10,000 in prizes and giveaways. In addition, one lucky fan will compete for the chance to win a $50,000 grand prize with a shot from center ice.

The festivities continue on March 9 when Chopper’s mascot friends will make a special appearance for young fans. The evening will once again feature $10,000 in giveaways, including the “Super Sponsor Section Giveaway,” in which each section will be awarded a different prize. A special team autograph session will also take place following the game.

Fans can purchase tickets for both games by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000, using the interactive ticket map at JohnstownTomahawks.com, or visiting the War Memorial Arena Box Office Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Please call the Tomahawks office at (814) 536-4625 with any questions.
