Press Release
Johnstown, Pa – The Johnstown Tomahawks will put
away their hockey skates for one night and take their athletic abilities
to an entirely different playing surface when they faceoff against the
Forest Hills Girls Varsity Volleyball Team on Monday, March 18 from 7-9
p.m. The Tomahawks are proud to participate in “Spike Autism,” a charity
volleyball game organized by three Forest Hills seniors.
Those interested in attending can call the Tomahawks office at (814)
536-4625 to purchase tickets, which are $2 per person. The event will
benefit ACRP’s Autism Spectrum Disorders Unit and take place inside the
Forest Hills High School Gym.
Keri Ondrejik, Brianna Neff, and Lakin
Stiffler organized the charity game as their senior project in order to
raise awareness and money for autism spectrum disorders.
“The Tomahawks are thrilled to team with
Keri, Brianna, Lakin, and the entire Forest Hills Girls Varsity
Volleyball Team,” said Tomahawks Community Relations Manager Whitney
Pappas. “Our organization has a strong commitment to supporting local
and youth athletics and contributing to wonderful causes like this one.
Our players are extremely excited to hit the court on Monday night.”
The Tomahawks will also assist the charity
game with a 50/50 raffle and Chuck-a-Puck, along with t-shirt
giveaways, prizes and more. Chopper, the Tomahawks mascot, will also be
in attendance.
