Vipers forward McAllister breaks out in final week, earns Gongshow POW

 Vernon Vipers forward Mitch McAllister has been named the Gongshow BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending March 10, the league announced Monday.

McAllister broke out in a big way, scoring almost half his season point total in the final three games. The Medicine Hat, Alta. native opened up with the game-winning goal and an assist in a win over Merritt where he took 1st Star and followed with two goals and a helper in a victory over Penticton where he again took 1st Star.

In the season finale, he scored a goal and was named the FortisBC Energy Player of the game in an overtime win against Merritt. McAllister's four goals and two assists gave him totals of seven goals and six assists for the campaign.
