CAMBRIDGE, ON: - Rosters for the 2013 U16 OHL Gold Cup were announced this morning at a press conference at the Holiday Inn Kitchener-Waterloo.

The 4-day event taking place May 9 – 12, 2013 at the Sportsworld Arena in Kitchener will feature 8 teams stacked with the top 160 Under-16 players in Ontario (see attached rosters).

David Branch, Commissioner of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), Wayne Salatino, Chairman of the Board for the Hockey Development Centre of Ontario (HDCO) and Phillip McKee, Executive Director of the Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) took questions from the media along with a panel of guests, which included players who will be participating in the 2013 U16 OHL Gold Cup event.

“With the players now being named, you can sense the anticipation for the event to begin,” said Phillip McKee. “We are expecting fast pace, great hockey at the Gold Cup and I’m confident the players who we just named will more than deliver that.”

In addition to the fast pace hockey, on Thursday May 9th from 4:00pm – 8:00pm, The Bauer Experience will be making a tour stop where participants of the event and the public can hit the ice and try the latest Bauer skates, sticks, gloves and helmets for free.
