Kilistoff's OT winner puts Eagles up 3-2 in BCHL Finals

Press Release

The Surrey Eagles continued the trend of home teams winning in the BCHL Finals with Kevan Kilistoff's goal delivering a 2-1 overtime win in Game 5 over the Penticton Vees.

Penticton opened the scoring with just 2.9 seconds left in the first period on a goal by Travis Blanleil. It was the game's only goal until 5:32 of the third when Surrey's Trevor Cameron tucked home a wraparound effort to tie the game and set the stage for overtime.

At the 5:44 mark in the first overtime period, an errant point shot off the stick of Craig Wyszomirski caromed directly out in front of the net where Kilistoff was able to gather it and put it home.

Shots were 30-30 for the game and each team was 0-for-4 on the man advantage.

Game 6 goes Sunday at 5 p.m. in Penticton.
