SPITFIRES SIGN MOORE

Press Release

At a news conference today, Spitfires General Manager Warren Rychel introduced centre Ryan Moore to the media, as the recent 2nd Round Selection signed a standard OHL contract with the club.

Taken 35th overall in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection, Moore is a 5'8, 150-pound centre that put up 24 goals and 24 assists with 54 penalty minutes in 36 games played with the Detroit Belle Tire Minor Midgets in 2012-2013.

Moore says committing to the Spitfires is a move that made sense for him.

"The franchise has such a great track record of success and developing players," Moore told WindsorSpitfires.com. "After talking to my parents and my advisors, the decision on what was best for me came clear quickly."

Rychel said Moore is an immense talent.

“He's an exciting player,” Rychel said. “Very fast and very smart. He's a guy that can make plays and retrieve pucks. I think the fans will love seeing this kid play.”

Moore will report to mini-camp, along with other Spitfire hopefuls, on May 31st.

Congratulations and welcome to the Spitfires family, Ryan!
