Spruce Kings Announce Commitment of Player for 2013-14 Season

Press Release

PRINCE GEORGE, BC – The Prince George Spruce Kings of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) are excited to announce the commitment of forward Cole Todd to the team for the 2013-14 season.

Cole Todd is a ’95 born 6’ 1” 175 pound right-handed forward from North Vancouver, BC. Todd is a gifted forward with a strong physical presence in all situations. As an assistant captain with the Vancouver Northwest Giants this past season, Todd helped the team capture their fifth consecutive BC Major Midget League Championship. Todd finished the 2012-13 season with 10 goals, 19 assists and 62 penalty minutes in 39 games played.

"I was really excited to find out that the team was interested in me," said Cole Todd. "This is a great opportunity for me to move up to the next level."

"I really like their style," added Todd. "(The Spruce Kings) play a physical style finishing checks and leaving it all out there on the ice."

"We are very excited with the commitment of Cole to our program," said Spruce Kings General Manager, Mike Hawes. "He's a very hard working skilled forward who skates extremely well. He loves to play the body at every opportunity. Our fans will enjoy watching Cole play for the Spruce Kings as he plays the game the right way."

"Once Cole visited Prince George, saw the city and what our program is all about he knew that this is where he wanted to play and we couldn't be more thrilled about that," added Hawes. "He's a tremendous young man who will fit into our core values and exemplifies what it is to be a Spruce King."
