Calgary, AB -- The Western
Hockey League has announced it will be conducting an Officiating
Development Camp to assist with the development and recruitment of WHL
Officials.
The 2013 WHL Officiating Development Camp will be held in Calgary, Alberta, from June 6th - 9th, and will feature classroom sessions, instructional on-ice sessions, and game situations.
WHL Officiating Supervisors and NHL officials will be providing instruction and game supervision.
The camp is designed to assist in the personal development of all officials in attendance, and to evaluate prospect WHL officials in game situations.
Last year 13 officials who attended the camp were given an opportunity to work in the WHL.
