ST. LOUIS - St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Tuesday that the club has signed goaltender Niklas Lundstrom.
Lundstrom, 20, played in 14 games with the Swedish Elite League's AIK, posting a 3-9-0 record with a 3.10 goals-against average and a .901 save percentage.
Earlier this year, he helped Sweden earn a silver medal at the 2013 World Junior Championships. In three tournament appearances, Lundstrom was 2-1 with a 1.60 goals-against average and a .944 save percentage.
The Varmdo, Sweden native was originally drafted by the Blues in the fifth round (132nd overall) in the 2011 NHL Draft.
