The London Knights offence produced three goals while goaltender Anthony
Stolarz was solid in net to help the Knights defeat the Saskatoon
Blades 3-2 in game one of the MasterCard Memorial Cup in front of a
great crowd at the Credit Union Centre.
The Blades energized the
hometown crowd by scoring the first goal of the tournament at 7:59.
Michael Ferland served a beautiful pass to Josh Nicholls, who made no
mistake by one-timing the puck past Anthony Stolarz.

minutes left in the period, Seth Griffith put the Knights up 2-1.

Nikita Zadorov, a first round hopeful for the next NHL Entry Draft, scored the game-winner on the power-play.
