Toronto, ON – The Ontario Hockey League today announced the results
of a review of an incident which took place in Game 5 of the Rogers OHL
Championship Series between the London Knights Hockey Club and the
visiting Barrie Colts Hockey Club.
The incident reviewed was a major and game misconduct for charging
assessed to player Anthony Camara of the Barrie Colts Hockey Club.
Based on a review by the League, it is the position of the League
that player Anthony Camara shall be suspended for the balance of the
2013 Rogers OHL Championship Series.
It is the League’s position that if the Barrie Colts Hockey Club
should qualify to participate in the 2013 MasterCard Memorial Cup, the
League would consider an application by the Barrie Colts on behalf of
player Anthony Camara to allow for his participation in the MasterCard
Memorial Cup. If the Barrie Colts do not advance to the 2013 MasterCard
Memorial Cup and player Anthony Camara returns to the OHL as an overage
player next season, the League would consider an application by the
Barrie Colts to evaluate the status of his suspension.
