Blades Trade Astles To Tri-City

Press Release

The Saskatoon Blades have traded winger Jessey Astles to the Tri-City Americans.

In exchange for Astles, the Blades receive a conditional 6th round pick in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft.

The 2012-13 season was the first and only season that Astles spent as a member of the Saskatoon Blades.  He appeared in 22 regular season games, posting a goal and an assist to go along with 43 PIMs.  Astles also took home the Blades ICR - Hardest Hitter Award.

Astles missed 50 games during the regular season for Saskatoon after having tendons cut in his wrist after it was sliced by a skate during a game on November 9th against the Regina Pats.

Astles recovery process throughout the year was a constant motivator for the team and the Saskatoon Blades would like to thank him for his time with the team and wish him all the best going forward.
