Broncos Sign First Round Pick, Steenbergen

Swift Current Broncos General Manager & Head Coach, Mark Lamb, has announced that the club has signed forward Tyler Steenbergen to a WHL Standard Player Agreement.

Steenbergen, was selected 12th overall by the Broncos in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft.  The 5’10”, 160-pound product of Sylvan Lake, AB led the Red Deer Rebels White in scoring last season with 67 points (39-28-67) and recorded 20 penalty minutes.  He also played five playoff games with the Red Deer Optimist Chiefs of the AMHL, where he posted three points (1-2-3).

“We are excited to officially announce that Tyler has signed with us,” says Assistant General Manager & Director of Player Personnel, Jamie Porter.  “Tyler will join a great group of guys and will be an extremely skilled, solid Bronco for us for years to come.”
