California 18U forward Brazil signs NAHL tender

The California Titans of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) are pleased to announce that 18U forward Blake Brazil has signed an NAHL tender with the Minnesota Wilderness.  The Wilderness are a new team in the NAHL and will begin play during the 2013-14 season.

Brazil, 17, just completed his first season with the Titans organization in 2012-13.  The Fairbanks, Alaska, native played in 19 games during the regular season and was 3rd on the team in scoring with 14 points (8 goals, 6 assists).  In five playoff games, he was second on the team in scoring with five points as the Titans finished runner-up in the Silver consolation playoffs at the NAPHL Championship Series.

The Titans, who won the 18U Championship the year previous, narrowly missed out on the 18U Gold Division playoffs in 2012-13.  Brazil (5’11/160) played the 2011-12 season with the Fairbanks Artic Lions 16U team, which competed in the 2012 NAHL Showcase.

Brazil in the fourth California Titans player to sign an NAHL tender during the 2012-13 season, joining teammates Nicholas Wallace (Bismarck Bobcats), Mikko Kivinen (Minnesota Magicians) and Liam Stirtzinger (Texas Tornado).
