Correale Commits to Lake Superior State

Press Release

The Grande Prairie Storm are pleased to announce that 19 year old Gus Correale has committed to Lake Superior State University in Michigan for the 2013-14 season.

Correale, a 1993-born, 5’10”, 175 pound forward from Prince George played in 60 games for the Storm this season, scoring 25 goals and adding 32 assists with 22 penalty minutes. He added a goal and three assists in four playoff games. With his commitment, Gus will play for the Lake Superior State Lakers under Head Coach Jim Roque.

“Gus is a very dynamic and very talented hockey player,” said Storm Head Coach Blaine Bablitz. “In his time with the Storm he has progressed immensely both on and off the ice. Gus will be greatly missed by our team and very hard to replace for the upcoming season.  Gus's hard work has lead him to this great opportunity with a very strong program at Lake Superior State University. It has been a pleasure to work both with Gus and his brother Dan over the years, and watch them develop and reach their goals of playing Division 1 hockey. They come from a great family and I am so pleased to see him be rewarded for all his hard work. We wish Gus the best of luck.”

The Grande Prairie Storm would like to congratulate Gus and his family on his accomplishment and wish him the best of luck in his future athletic and academic endeavours.
