Fighting Falcons Hire John Goodrich As Player Appearance

Press Release

PORT HURON, MI – The Port Huron Fighting Falcons, proud members of the North American Hockey League, are today announced the hiring of John Goodrich as Player Appearance Coordinator. Goodrich will also continue in his role as Sales Associate with the team.

The primary role of the Player Appearance Coordinator is to schedule appearances by Fighting Falcons players in the community. Goodrich will review and schedule player appearance requests, ensuring player involvement in the Blue Water Area.

“Our organization is lucky to be able to bring John on as Player Appearance Coordinator,” said Mike Reed, the Fighting Falcons’ Director of Operations and Public Relations. “John has maintained a high level of involvement with our team from day one, and we think he is a great fit in this new role.”

Goodrich has performed many duties with the Fighting Falcons since they joined the NAHL in 2010. He served as an off-ice official with the Port Huron Flags and Icehawks, and continued in that role with the Fighting Falcons. He joined the sales staff in early 2013, offering advertising opportunities to local businesses.

Player appearance requests for the 2013-14 season will be available on the Fighting Falcons’ website this week.

The Fighting Falcons return to McMorran Arena for their fourth NAHL season this fall. Season ticket packages start at just $175, and the first 25 fans to purchase two or more full season ticket packages will receive a free game-worn Fighting Falcons jersey.
