Flying Aces forward May signs NAHL tender

The Minnesota Flying Aces of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are pleased to announce that forward Johno May has signed an NAHL tender with the Minnesota Wilderness.  The Wilderness are the NAHL’s newest team and will begin play in the 2013-14 season.

May, 19, had a very active 2012-13 season spent between the NAHL and NA3HL.  He began the season with the Bismarck Bobcats in the NAHL.  He appeared in 24 games and had 8 points (3 goals, 5 assists).  In December, he was traded to Janesville where he appeared in four games for the Jets, recording an assist.

May (6’4/190) then spent the last half of the 2012-13 season with the Flying Aces in the NA3HL.  The native of Mahtomedi, Minnesota, had 14 points (6 goals, 8 assists) in 12 regular season games with the Flying Aces.  He went scoreless in three playoff games.

Minnesota ending up securing the final playoff spot in the NA3HL’s West Division with a 20-26-1-1 record as they finished in 4th place.
