Bandits Launch New Logo

Press Release

After 13 years with the hockey clubs original logo, today will mark the first day for an updated and new team logo for the Brooks Bandits.  The Bandits are always looking to improve their brand in any way possible and after much consideration the organization felt it was time for positive change towards a new look.  The logo was created by Mitch Johnson who has worked with the AJHL creating their logo and most recently their 50th Anniversary logo.

The idea of the Bandits look stays the same but gone are the gloves and stick.  This is a modern and professional logo that gives the Bandits a look they deserve.  With the new logo there are two versions, the first with the wording Brooks Bandits, which will be featured most often and a second without the wording which the Bandits will feature on their jerseys.  While the old logo was well worn by the club since the inception of the franchise it had run its course and went out on a winning note.

Marketing Manager Jaime Currie, "Being the 50th year anniversary of the AJHL and after winning the RBC Cup Championship, we felt this was the perfect opportunity to update and modernize our logo.  This is a great step for the Bandits as it moves us forward and helps secure our status as one of the top clubs both on and off the ice.  With the new logo, we hope to inject excitement for our fans and players alike, as I know they are excited to wear the new crest on their jerseys. We truly hope the community will embrace our new modern logo."

Head Coach/GM Ryan Papaioannou, “This started as a casual conversation between myself and AJHL Commissioner Ryan Bartoshyk, we both felt our logo could better reflect our hockey club.  Through Ryan and his connection to artist Mitch Johnson we were presented with a few options to choose from.  After a number of tweaks we are very happy with how this logo turned out.  This gives us a refreshed and more modern look.  We will always be connected to the past logo after winning our first AJHL Championship and RBC Cup while wearing it, but we knew it was time for change.  I am excited that we were able to keep a similar look while completely changing the face of the organization.  We hope our fans and community like the look as much as we do!"
