Kitchener Rangers Head Coach and
General Manager Steve Spott announced today that forward Jacob
Cascagnette has committed to the team and has signed an Ontario Hockey
League agreement. Cascagnette was the Rangers’ 4th round pick in the
2013 OHL Priority Selection.
A
native of Kitchener, Cascagnette played last season with the Kitchener
Rangers Minor Midget program and averaged nearly a point-per-game in
2012-13, with 24 goals and 19 assists in 49 contests and helped his team
to a second-round upset in the 2013 playoffs. Last week he was invited
to attend Team Ontario’s 2013 Under-17 Provincial Camp which will be
held in Oshawa, Ontario next month.
