DUKES TO PLAY BENEFIT GAME

Press Release

The Wellington Dukes will be hosting a benefit game against the Kingston Voyageurs on August 27, 2013 at the Essroc Arena in Wellington, Ontario.

Proceeds from the game will be used to assist former Dukes defenceman B.J. Ketcheson as he continues to deal with some serious health injuries that require him to travel to Kingston for treatments.

The Napanee, Ontario native played one season (1995-96) with the Dukes as a 15-year old before going on to play four years in the Ontario Hockey League with the Peterborough Petes and Mississauga IceDogs.  He was drafted by the Florida Panthers in the 7th round, 176th overall, of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.  Ketcheson is now a 33-year old carpenter and is married with two young children.

Tickets for the game are $10.00 each and are on sale at the Wellington Dukes Box Office inside the Essroc Arena (Belleville St., Wellington), Lavender Furniture (Main Street, Wellington), AM Sports in Napanee and Shoeless Joe’s also in Napanee.
