Martin Agrees to Pro Contract in Holland

Press Release

The Bears are happy to announce that goalie Patrick Martin has signed to play for the Geleen  SmokEaters of the Dutch Professional League. Patrick will also attend the Eindhoven University of Technology.

Patrick was acquired by the Bears last summer to be the team's starting goalie.

Marty as he is known by his teammates more than met the challenge. He appeared in 44 of the team's 62 regular season games and posted a 23-15-0-2 record. Patrick recorded a league high 6 shutouts while having a 3.09 goals against average combined with a .907 save percentage.

Martin becomes the 13th Bear from the 2012 - 2013 season to move onto university through their hockey. The Bears are thrilled to be a part of each players development as they move onto higher levels of education & hockey.

Good luck and much success to Patrick Martin this season.
