Press Release
After
months of painstaking work, the 2013-14 Pacific Junior Hockey League
schedule was released today featuring an exciting opening day match-up
between long time rivals Richmond and Delta. The season opener sees the
Ice Hawks hosting the defending Champion Sockeyes on September 10th at
the Ladner Leisure Centre.
The PJHL's ten teams will play a 44 game
unbalanced schedule that has them facing-off against their Conference
rivals six times and playing four games each versus non-Conference
teams. The league will take its usual break over the Christmas Holidays
with no games scheduled from December 23-27.
There is actually one
game that has yet to be scheduled as a Brittain Conference team is
dealing with arena availability issues and needs to find an alternate
date or venue. This matter is expected to be resolved shortly. It
promises to be another exciting year as, for the first time, all games
will be available for viewing online as the PJHL and FASTHockey.com will
be webcasting each game live. Of course, nothing beats live junior
hockey action and the 2013-14 PJHL season is coming soon to arena near
you.
