Press Release
PRINCE GEORGE, BC – The Prince George Spruce Kings of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) have acquired Luke Formica (for_mike_ah) from the Carleton Place Canadians of the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) in exchange for future considerations.
Luke Formica is a physically imposing defenseman at 6’ 6” and 210 pounds. The ’94 born right hander is from Sterling Heights, Michigan. Last season Formica suited up for 37 games with the Canadians picking up 8 assists and 40 minutes in penalties.
"Luke is a big defenseman who skates very well for his size," said Spruce Kings General Manager, Mike Hawes. "Size on the backend is something that is important especially for our small ice surface in the Coliseum. We're excited to have Luke join our team."
Formica will join other new recruits and returning players for the start of the Spruce Kings main training camp August 23-25 in the Prince George Coliseum.
