Charlottetown Islanders Make Trades

Press Release

The Charlottetown Islanders have traded 20 year old forward Victor Provencher to the Chicoutimi Sagueneens. In return the Islanders receive the Sagueneens 2nd round draft pick in 2014 as well as a conditional 3rd round pick in 2015.

“Victor has provided the fans of Prince Edward Island with some great memories over the past three seasons”, says Islanders General Manager Grant Sonier. “We would like to wish Victor all the best going forward with Chicoutimi as he continues his playing career.”

In a second trade the Islanders traded 17 year old goaltender Charles-Olivier Lajoie to the Victoriaville Tigres. In return the Islanders receive a 5th round pick in 2015.

“Charles-Olivier is a good young goaltender and we wish him all the best in his new endevors in Victoriaville.” says Sonier. “Both trades are ones we felt at this time were in the best interest of our team moving forward”.
