The Green Bay Gamblers announced that forward Sebastian Weberg has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey at Colgate University following his USHL career.
Weberg recorded 11 points (6g, 5a) in 47 regular season games for the
Gamblers during the 2012-13 season. He netted his first USHL goal in
just his seventh game in the League on November 10th, and then scored his second goal the following evening. The 19-year-old also tallied one goal during four playoff contests.
The native of Oslo, Norway took a break from USHL action to represent
his country at the 2013 IIHF World Junior Championship. He scored two
goals over five games as Norway went undefeated to win gold at the
Division I Group A level, which moves them up to the Top Division for
the 2014 international event.
He is set for his second USHL season with the Green Bay Gamblers in 2013-14.
Colgate University is located in Hamilton, New York and is a member of the ECAC. One USHL alum, Eric Mihalik (Des Moines Buccaneers) was on the roster for the 2012-13 season.
