Jr. Trappers bring in more Size and sign 2 locals

Press Release sent to the World of Junior Hockey

The North Bay Jr. Trappers continue to build towards the new 2013-14 season with the signing of local Midget AAA Trappers graduates Jake Staples and Jake Ibbitson. 

Staples, was a second team all-star in the Great North Midget League last year where he recorded 21 goals and 30 assists for 51 points in 33 games with the Midget AAA Trappers last year.   He was also an affiliate player the past two seasons with the Jr. Trappers.  

Jake Ibbitson, a hard hitting physical defender, notched 2 goals and 7 assists totaling 9 points in 25 games last year.  Ibbitson was also a affiliate player last season with the Jr. Trappers.  

The two will be on the ice for the Jr. Trappers training camp which begins on August 18th at West Ferris arena.   

Size is back

To the front office, the Trappers have announced that Duran Size will return to work for the hockey club again in 2013-14.  Size, joined the team as the Game Day Operations Manager last year and played a key role in organizing the Dudley Hewitt Cup along with the volunteer organizing committee.  

Size will again be in charge of game day operations but will also take on the title of Assistant General Manager, working alongside GM Chris Dawson.    He will also help with business operations of the Junior Hockey Club as well working out of the Trappers new office in West Ferris arena.
