Screaming Eagles Announce First Round of Cuts

Sydney – The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles announced today that six players have been cut from their training camp roster including 5 forwards and 1 defenseman.

The forwards include free agents Damian Gallant (95/02/02), Floyd MacDonald (95/09/27), Drew Wilcox (95/01/05), and draft picks Xavier Beaupre (96/01/07) and Danick Gaudreau (96/01/28).  Free agent Jordan Baptiste (95/08/09) was the lone defensemen cut.

The Screaming Eagles training camp roster now sits at a total of 41 players including 22 forwards, 15 defenseman, and 4 goaltenders.  The Screaming Eagles play their first exhibition game Saturday night in Halifax against the Mooseheads.  On Sunday, the Screaming Eagles host the Halifax Mooseheads for a 4pm game at the County Arena in Coxheath.  County Arena Box Office opens at 12:00pm noon on Sunday; doors open at 3pm.  Tickets are $8.00 and can be purchased using cash only
