SAINT JOHN, NB – The Saint John Sea Dogs announced today a trade with the Gatineau Olympiques, sending the Olympiques an 8th round pick in 2015 in exchange for 18-year-old forward Kelly Bent.
Bent has 47 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League games under his belt, split between the PEI Rocket and Qlympiques. In the 47 games, Bent tallied one goal, three assists and 92 penalty minutes.
“Kelly provides some sand paper to our line up,” says Saint John Head Coach and General Manager Mike Kelly. “He is a passionate player who plays with energy and makes it difficult on opposing players. We believe he will be a good compliment to our skilled players and be a good addition in the room.“
