Press Release
The Saskatoon Blades have re-assigned a trio of players, cutting
their roster down to 24 players. The players re-assigned Wednesday are
forwards Greyson Reitmeier ('96), Evan Polei ('96) and Haydn Hopkins
('97).
Polei was selected by the Blades in the 11th round, 242nd overall, in
the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft. The left-winger registered one goal in two
Blades exhibition games in 2013-14 after scoring 17 goals and posting 32

team in Edmonton.
Hopkins was selected by the Blades in the 12th round, 257th overall,
in the 2012 WHL Bantam Draft. He registered 2 PIMs in a pair of
exhibition games this year. The right-winger from Victoria, BC, had 12
points and 38 PIMs in 31 games for the South Island Royals major midget
team in 2012-13.
Reitmeier was an unsigned training camp invite by the Saskatoon
Blades this season. The 6'3, 175 pound left-winger from Nakusp, BC, had
a goal and an assist in two pre-season games, including scoring the
first goal of 2013-14 exhibition season for the Blades in Swift Current
last Wednesday.
The roster moves leaves the Blades roster at 24 players, including two goalies, 8 defencemen and 14 forwards.
