Screaming Eagles announce details for home opener

Sydney – The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles home opener is Friday, September 20th at 7:00pm against the Charlottetown Islanders.

There will be lots going on for fans from the moment the Centre 200 doors open.  From 6:00pm-6:30pm fans can have their pictures taken with Screech at the Screaming Eagles Photo Booth in the West Concourse. One picture taken at the Photo Booth will be chosen as the Picture of the Game and featured on Screaming Eagles social media.  Jokers Wild will also be set up in the West Concourse offering face paint and balloon animal services.  Members of the Cape Breton Dance Collective will be on hand to greet fans and get everyone moving in their seats during the game.

The theme for Friday’s Home Opener is Black Out.  All fans are encouraged to show their Screaming Eagles pride by wearing black to the game.  Fans can also purchase the new 2013-2014 Fan T-shirt for only $10.00 at the Promotions Table in the Main Concourse.  Limited quantities are available and all sales are cash only.

This game will feature a pre-game ceremony honoring Screaming Eagles forward Clark Bishop as a member of Team Canada’s Gold Medal winning team at the World Under 18 Ivan Hlinka Tournament. 

Following the Screaming Eagles game their will be a post game concert by Membertou’s Black & Grey held in the Centre 200 Main Concourse.  Admission to the concert is included with the purchase of a game ticket.  This concert is 19 years and older.
