SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs have announced they will start the 2013-14 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League season with 26 players on the roster.
Sixteen players return from last season, including goaltender and team MVP Sebastien Auger, top-scoring rookie Olivier LeBlanc, and forward Jason Cameron, the last player remaining from the Sea Dogs' 2011 President’s Cup and Memorial Cup victories.
Newcomers include 2013 QMJHL first-round picks Nathan Noel (3rd overall) and Will Thompson (17th overall), along with second-round selection Thomas Chabot (22nd overall).
"It's an exciting, young roster, filled with skill and speed," said Sea Dogs' Head Coach and General Manager Mike Kelly. "Our kids will have the opportunity to play and grow together, as a team."
The Sea Dogs have received permission from the QMJHL to carry one player above the allowable roster limit due an injury in goal.
