Press Release

Medicine Hat, AB – The Medicine Hat Tigers announce this afternoon they have acquired 18-year-old goaltender Daniel Wapple from the Moose Jaw Warriors.

In return, the Warriors will receive a conditional bantam draft pick in either 2015 or 2016.

“We are very excited to add Daniel to our roster,” stated Tigers’ General Manager/Head Coach Shaun Clouston. “He is a talented young goalie with an impressive resume with a year of WHL experience.”

Daniel played in the Canada Winter Games for Team Saskatchewan as a 15-year-old. The following year he was selected to the first all-star team in the Saskatchewan Midget Hockey League where he posted the league best save percentage at .929. Last season, Daniel appeared in 20 games for the Moose Jaw Warriors posting a 3.61 goals against average and .886 save percentage.
