CHL Friday Night Hockey on Sportsnet returns in November

TORONTO (October 9, 2013) The Canadian Hockey League today announced the first four weeks of its Friday Night Hockey 2013-14 broadcast schedule on Sportsnet beginning on Friday, November 8, at 7:00 pm Eastern (8:00 pm Atlantic) as the reigning MasterCard Memorial Cup Champion Halifax Mooseheads host the Moncton Wildcats.

CHL Player of the Year and Tampa Bay Lightning prospect Jonathan Drouin and the Mooseheads host top 2014 NHL Draft prospect Ivan Barbashev and the Wildcats to kick off the third straight season of Friday Night Hockey.  Then on November 15, watch the defending OHL Champion London Knights as they visit the Kingston Frontenacs at 7:00 pm Eastern.  The Guelph Storm host the third stop on the Friday Night Hockey tour when the Windsor Spitfires come to town on November 22 at 7:00 pm Eastern.  The November schedule wraps up in the WHL when the Edmonton Oil Kings visit the Lethbridge Hurricanes November 29 at 9:30 pm Eastern (7:30 pm Mountain).

Sportsnet will televise a Canadian Hockey League game every Friday night during the 2013-14 regular season and playoffs.  As Canada’s premiere destination for all things CHL, Sportsnet is home to the 2013 SUBWAY Super Series this November, the 2014 CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game in Calgary in January, and the 2014 MasterCard Memorial Cup in London next May.

Sportsnet and the CHL will announce additional Friday Night Hockey games for its 2013-14 broadcast schedule in the near future.

Friday November 8, 2013 - Moncton Wildcats at Halifax Mooseheads – 7:00 pm Eastern (Sportsnet ONE, Sportsnet East, Ontario and Pacific)
Friday November 15, 2013 - London Knights at Kingston Frontenacs – 7:00 pm Eastern (Sportsnet ONE)
Friday November 22, 2013 - Windsor Spitfires at Guelph Storm – 7:00 pm Eastern (Sportsnet ONE, Sportsnet East and Ontario)
