The
Vancouver Giants have acquired right-winger Trent Lofthouse from the
Victoria Royals in exchange for an eighth-round pick in the 2014 Western
Hockey League Bantam Draft.
The 6'3", 185lbs forward has one goal, one assist (2 points), and 4 penalty minutes in 11 games with the Royals so far this season.
"Our team has been struggling with three elements - size, scoring and depth, due to health," said Giants' Executive Vice President and General Manager, Scott Bonner. "We feel Trent has the potential to help us address all three needs."
The Surrey native is in his third season in the WHL and has played for the Everett Silvertips and Victoria Royals.
