Graham Named 5th Captain in Niagara IceDogs History

Press Release

Niagara IceDogs Head Coach and General Manager Marty Williamson announced today that Jesse Graham has been named the fifth Captain in Niagara IceDogs history.

Graham follows in the footsteps of former IceDogs captains Michael Swift, Alex Pietrangelo, Andrew Agozzino and most recently Ryan Strome.

A New York Islanders draft pick, Graham is in his fourth season with the IceDogs after having been drafted by the IceDogs in the 1st round, 6th overall, back in the 2010 OHL Priority Selection.  In 203 regular season games with the IceDogs, Graham has accumulated 10 goals and 90 assists for 100 points, as well as a +32 rating.

A 5'11", 172 lbs. defenceman, Graham becomes the second Niagara IceDog defenceman to be named captain, with Alex Pietrangelo the other.

Along with Graham being named captain, Williamson also announced that Anthony DiFruscia, Jordan Maletta, Luke Mercer and Carter Verhaeghe will serve as alternate captains.

The entire IceDogs organization would like to congratulate Jesse on being named captain and we look forward to seeing him sport the C for the first time on Thursday night when the IceDogs host the North Bay Battalion!
