IceDogs complete pair of trades

Press Release

Niagara IceDogs head coach and general manager Marty Williamson announced a pair of trades today, trading forward Brook Hiddink to the Plymouth Whalers for draft picks, and acquiring overager Eric Ming from the Kitchener Rangers in exchange for draft picks.

Hiddink heads to the Plymouth Whalers in exchange for Windsor's 3rd round pick in 2014 and Plymouth's  12th round pick in 2016.   A first round pick of the IceDogs in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection, Hiddink played in 60 games over the past two seasons, accumulating 5 goals and 8 assists in those games.

In exchange for Eric Ming, the IceDogs send the Rangers Erie's 4th round pick in 2015 and the IceDogs 9th round pick in 2014.  Originally selected by Kitchener in the 7th round of the 2009 OHL Priority Selection, Ming is in his 4th OHL season, having picked up 25 goals and 44 assists for 69 points in 191 games with Kitchener.  Ming comes to the IceDogs after having served as an assistant captain for Kitchener this season.
The entire IceDogs organization would like to wish Brook all the best in Plymouth and welcome Eric to Niagara!
