Vipers defenceman Jason Bird has been named the BCHL Player of the Week
for the week ending Oct. 13, the league announced Monday.
Bird tallied two goals and two assist as the Vipers recorded a pair of
wins over the Chilliwack Chiefs. The Toronto native assisted on both
insurance goals in a 4-1 home win Friday where he was named 3rd Star and
then tallied a power-play goal and the overtime winner in a 5-4
come-from-behind road win on Saturday.
