Mantha, Auger and Clapperton named the TELUS three stars of the month of September

 The first star is awarded to the Val-d’Or Foreurs forward Anthony Mantha with a total of 14 points in 5 games in the month of September, scoring 8 goals including 2 on the penalty kill. He has played two games with 3 goals or more since the beginning of the season. Mantha had 36 shots on goal in September, an average of more than 7 shots per game. His best game was against the Quebec Remparts on September 28, in an 11-2 road win, scoring 4 goals and adding an assist for a total of 5 points.

Saint John Sea Dogs goaltender, Sebastien Auger, gets the second star of the month, handling  an average of 40.1 shots per game; 156 saves in 4 games. Moreover, he helped his team collect a total of 5 points out of a possible 8 when he was in nets with 2-1-1. In the month of September 2013, he posted a goals against average of 1.72 and a save percentage of .957.

The third star of the month belongs to Chirstopher Clapperton, the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada forward. Just like Mantha, he collected 14 points this month. He made 9 assists in his 6 games during September and earned at least one point in each of these games. On September 29 against the Moncton Wildcats he played his best game,  with a total of 5 points, including 1 goal and 4 assists.
