Mcleod commits to Canisius

Toronto Lakeshore Patriots rookie forward Matthew McLeod  has confirmed his commitment to join the Canisius College Golden Griffins beginning with the 2015-16 Atlantic Hockey season.

The native of North York, Ontario joined the Pats this season after playing with the club as an affiiliated midget last season out of the Mississauga Rebels Midget 'AAA' program; previously having played with his hometown North York Rangers minor midget club in 2011-12, including a trip to the presitigious OHL Cup tournament.

Last season McLeod recorded two assists during 11 regular season games with the Patriots and would play in all six post-season contests as well.  He is off to a quick start this year, notching two goals and seven points in 10 games played, including a five game point streak that would see him notch all his points.
