Press Release
Langley,
BC - The Langley Rivermen Junior “A” hockey club announced that Matt
Ustaski has committed to play post-secondary hockey next year with the
University of Wisconsin Badgers. Ustaski is a native of Glenview,
Illinois so he’ll be playing University hockey just 2 hours away from
his hometown.
Ustaski has known for a while where he was
planning to attend as he visited the Wisconsin campus back in August. It
was an unofficial visit but it definitely made an impact on Ustaski who
was also pursued by numerous other schools including Ohio State
University. At the BCHL Showcase in September Ustaski was asked to
attend an official visit to Wisconsin and it didn’t take long for a
decision to be made.
The 6’6 centre can now turn his full
attention to the Rivermen as he looks to build on last year’s success.
Ustaski is currently centring the top line with 4 goals and 1 assist to
start the season. He had 11 goals and 16 assists last season and appears
to be primed and ready to improve on those numbers.
