Clippers leading scorer Rempal signs with Golden Knights

Nanaimo Clippers forward and leading scorer Sheldon Rempal has accepted a scholarship to Clarkson University and will suit up for the Golden Knights.

Rempal is a native of Calgary and is in his first season with the Clippers. With nine points in his last five games, he's assumed the team scoring lead with seven goals and 13 assists in 17 games.

Clarkson University is located in Potsdam, N.Y. and is the alma mater of former BCHLer and current L.A. Kings defenceman Willie Mitchell.

The Golden Knights play in the NCAA's Div. I Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) against the likes of Yale, Princeton, Quinnipiac, Harvard and Brown.
