Cyclones to hold Annual "Bella Tucker" Game

Press Release

HUDSON, N.H. -- The Northern Cyclones are proud to announce their 4th Annual Bella Tucker Benefit Game on Saturday November 23rd at 5:30 pm.

Bella Tucker is a vibrant 12-year-old girl from Londonderry, N.H., who survived a near fatal infection which resulted in the amputation of all four of her limbs.  On Easter Sunday 2010, Bella came down with Streptococcus Pneumonia Sepsis with DIC (disseminated intravascular coagulation).  Doctors gave little hope for this third grader's survival, but after five days in a coma she miraculously survived. This is where the Northern Cyclones stepped in.

Northern Cyclones head coach Bill Flanagan heard about Bella through a local paper and knew his organization was just want Bella needed to lift her spirits. "Working with Bella and her family has been such a rewarding experience. She is just an inspiration to all of us and it’s great to see the team doing something together for the community, which hits so close to home,” said Flanagan. Every year, both the Youth and Junior teams gather donations for raffles, silent auctions and door prizes.  With Bella right behind the glass, playing against Walpole Express has also been a tradition that will be sure to impress.

The Northern Cyclones have truly made Bella Tucker an honorary member of the team and look forward to making this year another success. The public is welcome to attend and encouraged! For more information on Bella Tucker please visit BellaTucker.org.
