Drouin, Brassard and Gélinas are named TELUS three stars of the week

BOUCHERVILLE, Monday, November 18, 2013 - Jonathan Drouin, François Brassard and Guillaume Gélinas were named today the TELUS three stars of the week for November 11 to November 17, 2013.

The first star of the week goes to Jonathan Drouin star forward of the Halifax Mooseheads. He got 3 points in his first game of the week against Drummondville. In his second game, he scored three times in a 4-3 win over the Charlottetown Islanders. In his third game against Acadie-Bathurst, he got one goal and added three assists in a 6-3 win. It was his ninth game of 3 points or more in 2013-2014. Drouin has collected an impressive 39 points in just 17 games this season.

The Quebec Remparts’ goaltender François Brassard, is the second star of the week. Brassard got 2 shutouts, one of which was against the best team in the league, the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada . For his second shutout, Brassard stopped all 29 shots from the Shawinigan Cataractes in a 4-0 win . He is currently in a sequence of 155 minutes without having allowed any goals. He now has eight career shutouts with the Remparts, tying the team record of Louis Domingue.

The third star of the week goes to Guillaume Gélinas, the Val-d'Or Foreurs defensemen. In three games on the road, he scored 3 goals and added 2 assists. He scored the winning goal in overtime against Baie-Comeau. His team was trailing 4-2 before a 5-4 comeback won them the game. The day before, in Chicoutimi, he participated in three out of four goals for his team, including 2 goals in a 4-2 win.
